Getting Ready for Friday Night

Another Friday night is upon us and being the San Franciscans that we are, we probably have dinner plans. I know we can wear jeans just about anywhere in the city, but why, when there are so many other fun options?

These slim pants and vest by Shades of Grey in a charcoal navy are an easy pick since they go with just about any shirt. It's shown here with one of our favorite tailored shirts by Trovata. We also carry the matching jacket so you can slip it on for a more formal occasion, like a fall wedding.

We just got in this skirt from indie designer Harvey Faircloth. It's high paper bag waist easily creates an effortless look with just about any top, but we paired it with a silk top by Myne that when worn untucked flows over jeans or shorts (if it gets hot again soon) perfectly. These beautiful vintage-inspired pumps (which btw are currently on sale) by Marais finish off this dinner and drinks combo.

Behind the lookbook shoot

Yesterday's photo shoot was so much fun! Everyone had great attitudes while letting us play dress up with the few pieces that have arrived for the shop so far. The models: Andrew, Ingmar, Shane, Oscar, Midori, and Dahye did an amazing job visiting a few of our favorite local merchants for the lookbook shoot.

The hair and makeup were perfect. Crystal, Lanae, and Desmonique did what I couldn't even imagine. High fives also to our production team: Jon and Billy. Steph, our lovely sister in law, much love for staying up with me the night before to help me style the shoot. Thank you!

And a GIANT bear hug to our wonderful photographer, Vivian Sachs! You totally made all this happen. Without your coordination and vision this would have never come together. We so appreciate all that you've done for us.

All our neighbors were so kind to let us come through. Thank you Toy Boat, Buckshot, Q, Green Apple, and Park Life. We are so excited to be a part of this lively and diverse neighborhood!

Outstanding in the Field

Yes, we do talk an awful lot about food on this blog. We really can't help it. It's San Francisco after all.

What can I say about Outstanding in the Field? Another dinner extremely well done! We had a blast breaking bread in the warm Napa sun this Saturday. It was a wonderful treat for us to venture out of the city to have a communal meal in St. Helena at the Tres Sabores Winery and Farm tended by our gracious host and winemaker, Julie Johnson. It was such a pleasure listening to her husband, John share stories of the farm and the vines. The menu was delicious, I'm still dreaming of the halibut ratatouille prepared by Josh Thomsen of Meritage at the Claremont in Berkeley.

This season is pretty much sold out, but add yourself to the waiting list. The next season will roll around really quick and it is so worth it!
